Nero
Improve Plant Nutrition, Growth, and Yield
Nero™ provides nitrogen, naturally. Nitrogen is a foundational need for all plant life and Nero contains a duo of microorganisms that fix atmospheric nitrogen, reducing the need to apply fertilizers that quickly leach out of fields and into unwanted places in the environment.
Nero not only helps growers improve crop nutrition by fixing nitrogen, but also improves the availability of other nutrients to high-value specialty and row crops.
Nero comes in the form of a soluble concentrate. Impello also offers wettable powder and granular formulations of this product. Nero is also known as Komens and Bulhnova, depending on country and setting.
Contains: Azospirillum brasilense, Pantoea dispersa

How it works
1. Apply Nero at key stages of crop growth.
2. Microbes transform atmospheric nitrogen and solubilize bound phosphorus in soil, making these foundational nutrients available to the plant.
3. Microbial activity also makes soil-bound micronutrients (e.g., Fe, Ca, Mg) available, supporting both crop plants and other beneficial microorganisms.

Product Performance Reports

Petunia ‘Cascadias Indian Summer’ x Nero™
A study evaluated Nero granular's ability to enhance Petunia quality with reduced fertilizer inputs. Nero, incorporated at planting, enabled a 50% reduction in standard fertilization while maintaining comparable growth. Nero-treated plants showed similar shoot dry weights to those receiving full fertilization, indicating effective nutrient availability and potential cost savings.

Tomato & Pepper Seedlings x Nero™
Trials in major Spanish pepper and tomato nurseries confirmed Nero™'s effectiveness for increasing dry root weight in length in vegetable seedlings. Various dosages of the 2.5mm granular Nero™ were tested for optimal substrate incorporation, even in small containers like plug trays.

Poinsettia Asexual Propagation x Nero™
This internal trial evaluated Nero's impact on root development in two poinsettia cultivars. Nero enhanced both root vigor and formation speed, leading to faster plug fill and quicker transplanting. These improvements can benefit growers by reducing propagation time and enhancing overall efficiency and plant health.
