FAQ

TRIBUS ORIGINAL

Q: How do I know if Tribus Original is right for me?
Tribus Original is our flagship “all-in-one” beneficial bacteria blend that can add value for production farming or hobby growing. It doesn’t matter what plant you’re growing or where, if it has roots Tribus will help!

Q: What is Tribus Original?
Tribus Original is a blend of beneficial bacteria that promote root growth, plant yield, and flower quality by enhancing the plant's nutrition.

Q: What is in Tribus Original?
Tribus Original contains three Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria species (PGPRs). These species are Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus pumilus, and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens.

Q: How do these bacteria help my plants?
The bacteria in Tribus are known as plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria, or PGPRs (not to be confused with plant growth regulators, or PGRs). There are several mechanisms or ways in which Tribus bacteria promote growth; they mobilize nutrients, they encourage water uptake, they reduce plant stress, and they encourage root growth.

Q: How do I use it?
Tribus original can be applied as a root drench or directly to the leaves as a foliar application. Tribus is designed to be mixed into irrigation water and applied to the soil or hydroponic system. Mix it into a nutrient reservoir like you would a typical nutrient

Q: When should I use it?
You should apply Tribus as soon as your seeds or clones develop roots and continue applying all the way up until the day of harvest.

Q: How much should I apply and how frequently?
We recommend different rates based on your environment and inputs, but the general rule of thumb is to apply Tribus at a rate of 1mL / gallon of water or nutrient solution 1x a week or as frequently as every watering. The nice thing about Tribus is that even if you apply 10x the recommended amount it won’t harm your plants.

Q: Can I use it with conventional or organic nutrients?
Tribus can be used with both conventional and organic nutrients. We like to say it’s universally applicable, meaning it works in virtually any nutrient program.

Q: What media can I use Tribus in?
Tribus can be used in soil-based, soilless, and hydroponic systems. So regardless of whether you grow in peat, coco, rockwool, deep water culture, or in the field, Tribus can be used in your system.

Q: What does “CFU/mL” mean?
CFU stands for Colony Forming Unit, which basically translates to live microorganisms–in this case, live microorganisms in each milliliter of Tribus. Our Tribus Original is 10 Billion CFU/mL, meaning at least 10,000,000,000 bacteria in each mL of Tribus liquid will start growing and reproducing on plant roots.

Q: I’ve never used biologicals or beneficial bacteria before, and my plants always do great. Why should I use Tribus?
We like to say using Tribus is like adding an extra step to the equation. You can grow great without it, but you can always grow better with it. It stimulates growth in ways that lights, nutrients, and other additives simply can’t.

Q: Do I use Tribus instead of fertilizers?
No, Tribus is not meant to replace fertilizers. However, you may be able to reduce fertilizer usage when adding Tribus to your regimen.

Q: Do I need to use Continuµm with Tribus Original, Tribus Grow, and Tribus Bloom at the same time?
No, you should never use any two microbial products from Impello at the exact same time. It is unnecessary to do this since each one was designed with a specific purpose and to be used at a specific time. You can either use Continuµm or Tribus Original from start to finish, or use Tribus Grow during vegetative growth and transition into Tribus Bloom for flowering growth.

TRIBUS GROW

Q: How do I know if Tribus Grow is right for me?
Tribus Grow can add value during vegestative stage of plant growth for production farming or hobby growing. It doesn’t matter what plant you’re growing or where, if it has roots our Tribus products will help!

Q: What is Tribus Grow?
Tribus Grow is a blend of beneficial bacteria specifically designed for the vegetative stage of plant growth. These bacteria promote root growth, plant yield, and help make nutrients necessary for vegetative growth.

Q: What is in Tribus Grow?
Tribus Grow contains five Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria species (PGPRs). These species are Brevibacillus laterosporus, Bacillus licheniformis,  Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus pumilus, and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. Similar to the species in Tribus Bloom, but in concentrations that better serve vegetative growth.

Q: How do these bacteria help my plants?
The bacteria in Tribus Grow help plants uptake macronutrients and micronutrients for robust vegetative growth, increase water uptake, and help plants better tolerate abiotic stress ultimately improving plant yield.

Q: How do I use it?
Tribus Grow can be applied as a root drench or directly to the leaves as a foliar application.

Q: When should I use it?
You should apply Tribus as soon as your seeds or clones develop roots and continue applying until you transition into flower periods.

We recommend different rates based on your environment and inputs, but the general rule of thumb is to apply Tribus Grow at a rate of 1mL / gallon of water or nutrient solution 1x a week or as frequently as every watering. Q: What does “CFU/mL” mean?

CFU stands for Colony Forming Unit, which basically translates to live microorganisms–in this case, live microorganisms in each milliliter of Tribus. Our Tribus Grow is 13 Billion CFU/mL, meaning at least 13,000,000,000 bacteria in each mL of Tribus liquid will start growing and reproducing on plant roots.
