A grower shared that he experienced frost damage in his citrus orchard and administered a calcium spray with and without Dune monosilicic acid to try to reestabilish canopy quality. 

He used non-destructive leaf measurements via a CID-710s Field Spectrometer to evaluate the results at three vertical positions within the tree canopy (top, middle, and low zones) and at three time points after damage. 

What he saw was that Dune treatment facilitated even concentration of calcium throughout the canopy over time, stabilizing the Ca+ index and improving other metrics related to plant nutrition and canopy restoration.

A grower shared that they wanted to examine the effects of soluble silica on calcium uptake in Brooks variety cherries.

They administered foliar calcium sprays (calcium nitrate and calcium gluconate) both with and without the addition of Dune™ monosilicic acid, applying the treatments twice during the season: right after fruit set and one month prior to harvest.

To evaluate the results, the grower measured leaf tissue calcium content at multiple time points post-application. What they saw just three days after the first application was that Dune treatment facilitated a boost in nutrient uptake, increasing leaf tissue calcium by 23% in one field and 31% in another.
